A couple of years ago I hurt my knee really badly. After months of physiotherapy and plaster casts and crutches, I started to really pile on the pounds. I must have put on about one and half stone in the last year. As the summer is nearing I really wanted to get back into my skinny jeans and my nice swim wear.

The thing I have noticed about diets is, they always start very well but eventually you get hungry and then start to feel ill, also I have found them very expensive, all the low fat stuff seems to be really expensive, there is always too much temptation for yummy things, and research shows that chocolate is good for us women. Joining the gym started to cost a fortune and if you’re a mum like me, where do you get the time?

So, what is the answer? I bought my children a Trampoline. The laughter I heard from the back garden always makes me smile. One day I thought I would get on it. I could literally feel the pounds dropping off me.

I started to use trampolines with my children for 15 minutes a day, and I became tired quite quickly, after a couple of weeks I was on it for 30 minutes a day and felt really healthy. My appetite went up a little more but I noticed I was craving more water based things, such as cucumber because I was burning more energy.
